NEXTAGE treats cars in the same manner as fresh produce. We consider it essential to ensure freshness (value) by minimizing as much as possible the time from procurement to storefront showcasing through to delivery to the customer.
To accomplish this, we have set indicators for 1) the lead time from procurement to showcasing, 2) the lead time from showcasing to conclusion of a contract, and3) the lead time from conclusion of a contract to deliveryso as to shorten the lead time without compromising quality while accelerating the inventory turnover rate.
These initiatives have enabled us to offer a range of currently popular cars that are fresh (offering high value), creating a virtuous cycle for both customers and NEXTAGE.

NEXTAGE is accelerating transformation of its stores to “general stores” equipped with enriched maintenance facilities so as to cultivate lifelong relationships with customers who purchase cars from us and use our vehicle safety inspection and maintenance and repair services until they sell their cars. Emphasizing customer contacts, general stores are staffed with professionals who have specialized expertise, such as sales staff with abundant knowledge of vehicles, car life planners who propose insurance products at the time of purchase and follow up after the purchase, and maintenance technicians. They are all capable of offering advice addressing customers’ concerns about cars and of responding to their inquiries. We create new opportunities by enhancing customer satisfaction at every phase of the customer’s car life.

Used car purchasing

Establish a robust procurement network by strengthening the used car purchasing business

A stable procurement network is indispensable for realizing an abundant inventory lineup and a high inventory turnover rate at stores. In addition to procurement by auction, which is a conventional method, we are strengthening car purchasing through diverse customer contacts, such as purchasing at the storefront and at customers’ homes by deploying stores specialized in purchasing located adjacent to dealerships and standalone stores specialized in purchasing, and purchasing using an app. By strengthening the used car purchasing business, we intend to strengthen the “lifelong customer relationships business model.”
